Purposeful Plastic - CTMH Technique Blog Hop

A Blog Hop is a 'circular' group of Blogs that you 'Hop' to (or click the link to) that will give you lots of tips, techniques and inspiration for the topic of the Blog Hop.  I hope you enjoy your time with us and enjoy the projects.
If you came from Michelle Loncar's Blog you are on the right track!

Here is my project for today:

I chose to make a Card  for a friend and use a small Flip Flap in my project, it’s a great way to hide a gift card, Ice Cream Card or even money!!

Let’s check it out:

Front of the card

I used a 3 1/4 x 4 1/4” Flip Flap (the plastic sleeve shown here) and cut a piece of Cardstock to fit inside and decorated it:

I added a gift card to the back:

Then I folded the top flap behind the top of they flip flap, removed the plastic off of the adhesive and stuck it down on the card where I wanted it placed:

So when you lift it up you see the gift card and can remove it through the opening near the flap:

Flip flaps are SO easy to use, just insert the items (could be a journaled Card or Picture for a scrapbook page, baby’s hair from 1st haircut, gift cards, anything that will fit in them basically and we have LOTS of different sizes!

Talk to your consultant about getting some Flip Flaps! If you don’t have a consultant I would love a chance to earn your business (contact me

here).

Here is the Stamp of The Month for August 2018:

Isn’t this set just cute? I’m having a blast making all kinds of things!! It’s so fun!

My project today had to use the Glitter sentiment, of course!! We don’t have the Prisma glitter any longer, however, we do have glitter paper, shimmer Trim and Shimmer brushes!!

Here is my project:

I couldn’t decide what I liked best, so you get lots of choices today!
Here is one with glitter paper showing on the edges too:

I used Bashful (Light side) and stamped in Smoothie Ink randomly. The sentiment is stamped in Smoothie ink and I used the Bashful shimmer brush inside the Glitter letters, you can see a little better shimmer here:

Hard to get it on camera, but it looks great in person!
I used Smoothie Cardstock, and layered that with White Shimmer trim to go across the card, then layered Bashful Cardstock (Dark side) and then the sentiment on White Daisy Cardstock.
I also dragged the edges through the top of the Ink pad to get a more defined edge:

I used the bulk pack of white cards and envelopes to build it on.
Hope you like it!! Leave me a comment below and let me know your thoughts or questions!

Remember, you can purchase this set for only $5.00 with your $50 purchase (before shipping and tax)! That’s a GREAT deal! There will also be more ideas for this set during the month, so be sure to check back!
