Mini Sewing project bookmark

Mini Project Bookmark Mouse!

Well, as promised here is a tiny sewing project:
I was asked to make some bookmarks and somewhere online I came across animal bookmarks, so here is mine:

Isn’t he so cute!?! I decided to use blue to give to a male. You can color with any colors you like!

Fold a 3 x 3” piece of Cardstock (I used White Daisy Cardstock, if using Cardstock make sure to use your bone folder and make sure to crease well and. Fold evenly.) Pattern paper can also be used..
Follow the pictures to fold:

Tuck the corners over the flap:

Now use a scrap and fold over end and cut out the shape you want your ears:

Cut them in half to have two ears:

Color the inside of your ears, nose and eyes with markers (I used Shin-Han alcohol markers):

Place a tiny bit of tape at the end of the ears and set aside:

Draw in some whiskers with a pencil and unfold:

Pierce holes on ends of whiskers and erase marks:

Use Silver Embellishing Thread to sew in the whiskers:

I just taped the ends on the inside:

Refill, add ears and enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed the project today! May be a good Christmas Odr Summer gift for kids!

CTMH Technique Blog Hop Marker Madness

Welcome to our CTMH Technique Blog Hop with Marker Madness! This Hop is a circle of FUN ideas and inspiration, we know you'll see a lot of ideas.

If you are coming from Janna's Blog, you are on the right track. We hope you are getting a lot of great ideas for the awesome markers!

I Love to use our Shin-Han Alcohol Markers. One of my favorite things to do is to color Sparkles or Enamel Gems (even enamel words) with the markers to make them the color I need for my projects (see below):

Of course you can use them on cardstock too!:

Enjoy playing with these FUN tools! If you don't have any and would like to get some to try contact your consultant or if you don't have a consultant you can visit my website Here!
Remember to get the blender marker. It will help with a lot of shading and blending of colors and even removing some of the color in unwanted spots. An awesome help when using the markers!

This is the end of the hop, however if you started in the middle or want to go back to the beginning visit Melissa's Blog and continue the circle of FUN!

Thank you for stopping by and remember to Create it From the Heart,
Debi
