CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Thin Cuts Craze

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Thin Cuts Craze

Thank you for joining us on this Blog Hop with lots of ideas and tips for you while using the terrific thin cuts.. A Blog Hop is a 'circular' group of Blogs that you 'Hop' to (or click the link to) that will give you lots of tips, techniques and inspiration for the topic of the Blog Hop.  I hope you enjoy your time with us and enjoy the projects.
If you came from Darlys Recker's Blog you are on the right track!

Here is my project for today:

The Tag thin cuts are so much Fun and great for making Holiday tags!
I used the large size tag: (I stamped To and From on the back)

I cut two pieces of white Daisy Cardstock at 1/2 inch each ( long enough to fit on tag).
I then tore off both sides the long way on the vertical piece and tore one long side of the horizontal piece.
I then adhered the long piece down the center of the tag and trimmed off any access.
Next I adhered the other strip with the flat edge to the bottom of the tag and cut off access.
I used a 1/8" hole punch to re-punch the hole. (See picture below).

For the buckle, I used an exacti knife to cut two slits in which to thread the black shimmer trim thru. See below:

I took the backing off the shimmer trim and stuck it to the front of the tag and trimmed off the excess.

I used the Gold and white twine to make a loop for the top:

I hope you enjoy making your own Santa gift tags! Leave me a comment below and let me know how you like this project.

Hop on over to Sarah Devendorf's Blog to enjoy more great projects.

Thank you for stopping by and until next time, Create it with Heart,

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Terrific Tags

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Terrific Tags

If you came from Darlys Recker's Blog you are on the right track! Thank you for joining us on this Blog Hop with lots of ideas and tips for you while using this fabulous new Foil Paper. A Blog Hop is a 'circular' group of Blogs that you 'Hop' to (or click the link to) that will give you lots of tips, techniques and inspiration for the topic of the Blog Hop.  I hope you enjoy your time with us and enjoy the projects.

Here is my project for today:

I used the Tag Thin Cuts and cut out two of the largest tag from Falling from you pattern paper.
The tags weren't long enough to go over the mini tic tacs I had to put inside so I created a little 'open box' for them to sit in and put a zip strip (the piece cut from the top of the paper, approx, 1/2") on the bottom and them added the tags:

Then I took some White Burlap Ribbon and with my scissors cut up one of the areas between two strand and then all the strands come apart (be sure to run your fingers down the strands to get rid of the excess fivers), and tie into a bow (add your mini tic tacs first - found at Dollar Tree near registers).

Then decorate as desired.

These make great little gifts for friends, co-workers, teachers or Sunday school classes. You could even put names on them for seating at Thanksgiving or a party. So much fun!

Hop on over to Belinda McLane's Blog to enjoy more great projects.

Here are the measurements:
For box:
2 X 5 Cardstock
Score (with long side butted up against trimmer edge):
1, 1.5, 3, 3.5

Score short side at:
1/2"

Zip Strip cut at 5.25"

Cut Large tag from Basic Tags Thin Cuts (Z3344)

Cut the box tabs on the bottom edge of box, up to 1/2" score line (you are cutting only 1/2" between each score mark). You can miter the edges if you like.
See second photo above. Adhere back of box, large flap will completely cover small (1") flap. Adhere bottom flaps to complete box.

Place Zip strip around bottom edge of box, a small portion will stick out, just cut it off flush with box.

Place Mini Tic Tacs (found at Dollar Tree):

Then place a tag on each side of box, butted up to the top of zip strip.
Add ribbon and Enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by and until next time, Create it with Heart,
Debi

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Fabulous Foil

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Fabulous Foil

If you came from Darlys Recker's Blog you are on the right track! Thank you for joining us on this Blog Hop with lots of ideas and tips for you while using this fabulous new Foil Paper. A Blog Hop is a 'circular' group of Blogs that you 'Hop' to (or click the link to) that will give you lots of tips, techniques and inspiration for the topic of the Blog Hop.  I hope you enjoy your time with us and enjoy the projects.

Here is my card for today:

I cut the word 'grateful' as well as the leaves out of the Gold Foil Paper on my Cricut...it cut great and is super easy to work with as well as very pretty! I also cut the vine out of the green dotted B&T paper from the Falling for You paper pack on the Cricut. I used the Artbooking Cartridge for all three on 4.25".

I popped up the Flower paper with Thin Foam Dots and used the small Gold Gems in the centers of the leaves (it cuts out the center of them and I didn't like it as well, so I added the gems).

Be sure to visit Belinda's Blog next to see what other cool things you can make!

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time...Remember to Make it From your Heart,
Debi

2,4,6,8 Bag Design

Today I am sharing my bag design with you, the third time is a charm right?? (I have tried several times and hopefully can get this one posted.)

This is a basic bag that is 2 inches square.

Cut your paper at 8 1/2" x (The height you want the bag + 2")
So if you want a 6" tall bag, cut your paper at 8" x 8 1/2"
(TIP: be sure to watch your pattern so it will be going the correct direction

Score (with the 8 1/2" side butted up to stopper) at 2", 4", 6",and  8"
Turn paper and score at 2" from the bottom.

Cut as described on the diagram above (the solid lines). Basically you will cut the tabs up to the 2" score line at the bottom, cute off the skinny rectangle on the right and miter all pieces (including top of tab).

I hope you can make sense of this and get a lot of use from it!

Let me know if you have questions, I would love to see your fabulous bags too!
Until next time, Remember to Create it from your Heart,
Debi

Jack Blog Hop

Welcome to our Jack Blog Hop! All the projects in this hop will showcase the Jack Paper Pack (x7222B Jack Paper Pack). A Blog Hop is a big 'circle' of projects that you see by 'hopping' from one person's blog to another.
If you are coming from Gerri's Blog you are on the right track.

This paper pack is my most favorite one from the Expressions 2 book. I cannot wait to get my camping layouts done! There are SO many other ways to use this paper pack of course...
Male cards are the obvious choice, however, I've seen some cute female cards done with this paper and don't forget treat bags!

Today I made a treat bag with the tree pattern in the paper pack:
I made a 2,4,6,8 Bag (you can look it up online, or check back here tomorrow for instructions on how to put it together). My bag started with a 6x8 1/2" piece of the tree pattern paper. The finished size is 2" on all sides and 4" tall.

Of course, I had to use the cute Bear Stamp Set and also the August Stamp of the Month! So Fun!
For the sign, I used the 'chalk board' from the Stamp of the Month (School Year). I cut out a stamped image of the chalk board in Black Ink on Espresso Cardstock (dark side) and adhered a piece of black cardstock to the center and wrote on it with the Chalk Marker. The post was cut off of a second chalkboard that I stamped.
The Bear is stamped in Espresso Ink on the light side of Espresso Cardstock, Ruby ink on White Daisy Cardstock for the mug and cut them all out with the Thin Cuts.

I adhered the sign with adhesive, letting it hang over the side of the bag and adhered the bear to the front of the bag with 3-D Foam Dots (regular, not thin). I also put a small Foam Dot under the Coffee Cup and adhered the arms to the cup and side of the bear so it looks like his arms are out in front of him.
I put a little treat (new Hershey's cookie treat bars) inside for my hubby.
Then I punched two holes and tied some Juniper Twine (from the Whimsy Ribbon Pack).

Here you can see the 3-D Foam Dots under the bear:

This is such a cute way to give a small treat! You can add this little goodie to a lunch bag/box and make someone's day!

I am the last one on our blog hop today, if you joined us in the middle or just want to go around again you can start at Carol's Blog Here! Thank you for joining us today and I hope you are inspired and have lots of great projects to create!

Until next time, Create it with Heart,

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Crazy About Cardstock

Crazy about this NEW Cardstock!! It is Fabulous! It's like we just DOUBLED our cardstock colors.

If you are coming from Darlys's website, you are on the right track. Thank you for joining us on this Blog Hop with lots of ideas and tips for you while using this great new Two-Tone Cardstock. I hope you enjoy your time with us and enjoy the projects.

For my project today I used the NEW birthday stamp set and NEW Cardstock to make a couple Birthday Bags for the gifts I gave this past weekend...gotta love how easy this is!

I used plain white bags from Michaels, they are 8" wide
6 1/4 x 8 light color side of Cardstock( Eggplant & Lagoon)
5 3/4 x 8 Background & Texture Paper (I used purple polka dots fundamentals (from last years Annual catalog) and Lagoon stripe from Lil' Dreamer (Expressions 2)
2 1/2 x 4 Matte for Sentiment (I used Dark side of Eggplant CS & Lagoon CS)
2 1/4 x 3 3/4 White Daisy CS for Sentiment (D1731 Eat Cake & Celebrate- Annual Inspirations book 2017-2018)
Eggplant and Lagoon Stamp pads

Adhere together and pop up sentiment with 3D Foam Dots (Z3342)

I also made coordinating tags using NEW tag Thincuts (Z3344 Basic Tags) and White Twine (Z3216)

Have Fun and be sure to post your version(s) here!! I would love to see them!
This is a great thing to use larger scraps for.

For your smaller scraps, you can make tags and I also made this cute little 3x3 card, it shows the coordinating colors a little better. This is Pixie cardstock with Adventure Fundamentals paper.

I just love how you get two coordinating colors with one cardstock! So  many great uses for this Fun cardstock!

Remember the Expressions 2 is being retired at the end of August 2017. Contact your consultant to get the items you want before they're gone.

If you are ready to hop to the next blog, check out Cats website!

Thanks for visiting!
Until next time, Create it from your Heart,

CTMH Technique Blog Hop Marker Madness

Welcome to our CTMH Technique Blog Hop with Marker Madness! This Hop is a circle of FUN ideas and inspiration, we know you'll see a lot of ideas.

If you are coming from Janna's Blog, you are on the right track. We hope you are getting a lot of great ideas for the awesome markers!

I Love to use our Shin-Han Alcohol Markers. One of my favorite things to do is to color Sparkles or Enamel Gems (even enamel words) with the markers to make them the color I need for my projects (see below):

Of course you can use them on cardstock too!:

Enjoy playing with these FUN tools! If you don't have any and would like to get some to try contact your consultant or if you don't have a consultant you can visit my website Here!
Remember to get the blender marker. It will help with a lot of shading and blending of colors and even removing some of the color in unwanted spots. An awesome help when using the markers!

This is the end of the hop, however if you started in the middle or want to go back to the beginning visit Melissa's Blog and continue the circle of FUN!

Thank you for stopping by and remember to Create it From the Heart,
Debi
